Julie is our resident specialist on psychological wellbeing, and leads and co-ordinates the company's activities in this area. Please read her profile below:

My name is Julie Baker, and I have been providing therapeutic support for individuals, including adults and children, in Shropshire since 2006.

I specialise in two highly effective approaches to mental health: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Counselling. Whether you’re an adult navigating life’s challenges or a parent seeking support for your child’s emotional well-being, I can provide tailored therapy to meet your needs.

Supporting Adults and Children in Shropshire
Life’s challenges can affect anyone, regardless of age. For adults, therapy can help manage anxiety, depression, stress, or improve work-life balance. For children, therapy can provide a safe space to explore their emotions, build resilience, and address issues such as low self-esteem, social anxiety, or behavioural challenges.

What Can Therapy Help With?
I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health issues, including:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression and low mood

  • Anger management

  • Grief and loss

  • Confidence and self-esteem challenges

  • Trauma and life transitions

How I Work
At Live Well Talking Therapies, I create a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for both adults and children. Together, we will:

  • Identify the issues impacting your life or your child’s well-being.

  • Explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours contributing to these challenges.

  • Develop practical tools and strategies to promote positive change.

Why Choose Me?
With nearly two decades of experience working with both adults and children, I bring a compassionate and professional approach to my therapy. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I also maintain ongoing training and supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.
